Interested in a Custom Pet Portrait? Want to support animal rescue? Request a Commission!
Are you looking to capture the essence of your furry bb in a vibrant and unique way? Well, you’re in the right place (:
I specialize in transforming your beloved pet into a one-of-a-kind watercolor illustration. With custom pet portraits, you have the ability to collaborate with me to best reflect your pet's personality by choosing a color scheme, requesting an iteration of a specific image, adding the pet’s name, and more.
Rescue Freaks donates a portion of every sale to an NYC-based animal rescue organization (currently, I foster/volunteer for True North Rescue Mission and Pupstarz Rescue). I believe that animals deserve a second chance at a happy life, and by supporting my art, you will be supporting animals in need!

About My Paintings: Portraits measure at 5x7 or 6x6 inches for standard requests, and ship within 2-3 weeks. I create them with watercolor, gouache and pen, on high-quality watercolor paper. I can include personal touches from reference images as requested, to make these depictions of your beloved fur bb extra special. Once finished, I will also provide a hires digital scan of the painting.
Fall 2026 Updated Pricing: As of September 2026, my prices have increased and include a 10% donation to either True North Rescue Mission or Pupstarz Rescue — the NYC-based organizations that I volunteer/foster with.
I'm excited to create something beautiful with you! xoxo nlb & the rescue freaks 🧡
